Exploring Composition
For this assignment, we are to take at least 30 photos of a single inanimate object.
The first five or ten will be easy, but keep looking and exploring different ways to see the object.
Play with the lighting, angle, aperture, and point of view.
Save and export the best three and post them on your blog.
I took 30 pictures of the Mad Hatter mug, 30 pictures of colored pencils, and 30 pictures of the cross hanging in my living room.
I liked my cross pictures the best, but I wasn’t able to get a much different point of view.
I enjoyed Lightroom Classic, so I exported three of each for a total of nine.
I am happy with the Mad Hatter mug, but I need to make sure I hold my phone or camera level when I take the pictures. By the time I got the images level, I had really cropped in very close.
I was not able to get the glare off of the colored pencils. The more I messed with the settings, the worse the images looked.
Until next time,
Phil
